In 2007 we received this email from our member in San Francisco, Manuel A. Medina-Mayanga. We quote the email here because it shows a brilliant example on how one can achieve membership with SK Brann's supporters clubb in the US, even if you live far from New York.

I 2007 mottok vi denne eposten fra medlem i San Francisco, Manuel A. Medina-Mayanga. Vi gjengir eposten her fordi den viser et glimrende eksempel pa hvordan du kan bli opptatt som medlem i SK Branns supporterklubb i USA, selv om du bor langt fra New York.

Dear Brann USA,
Why should I be a member of your USA branch?
Well, for the same reasons the others are: Passion and love for soccer. Because I have never been in Bergen, but I know the passion that is transmitted from fan to fan. Because when you meet a Bergen lady and the first thing she teaches you in Norwegian is: Mitt hjerte star i Brann! and when you try to understand what makes the lady teach you that, you end up finding the greatness of the biggest team in Norway, "Bergens Stolthet", maybe not in titles, yet showed in support. Because to follow a team for 44 years and know the "curse is over" makes you the happiest man in the world.
I haven't seen that lady for almost 6 months. God knows if I will ever see her again. But what I always see every Sunday morning is the standings of the Norwegian League.
