June 14th 2009: A Proud New Yorker in Bergen! Our member Meikle Gardner went from Brooklyn to Bergen and of course he used the opportunity to watch his favorite team play!
On the photo: I love NY and my heart is on Fire! Meikle and his friend Gail Bender show which team that matters most to a New Yorker!
Meikle: "Went to Bergen to meet my new friends and the day I arrived we went to see Brann defeat Lyn! it was a great game and a beautiful pitch!!!"

Same event as above: Meikle with his friend Jan Fosse from Knarvik north of Bergen. According to Meikle has Mr Fosse been coaching girls soccer for Nordhordland Ballklubb for more than 10 years. Perhaps some day we'll see him coaching girls teams in NY, teaching them a few drills :-)

May 18 2009: Brann goes to Rock And Roll Boulevard! Ove Thue's legendary Brann songs from 1974, the only real rock single that ever was recorded in Norway, visits Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Museum - the house that rock built!  Brann rocks in Cleveland!

April 14 2009: The Brann shirt visits another stadium construction site on it's trip through New Jersey. . .  This time, Red Bull Arena that will be home to the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer (MLS) when completed. Many great players and big teams will be entering the field in the future. But hey! the Brann jersey was there first!!!  Photo by David of FirstTouchOnline.

April 05 2009 at Nevada Smiths: The Brann supporters set a new world record in the category: "Amount of people gathering in New York to watch a Norwegian football league match".
We were happy to have a large group of students from the BI college in Bergen joining us for the match against Rosenborg. Or should I say, we were joining them... Songs were sung, banners were waved and we made by far more noise than the other groups that were at the Nevadas at the same time. By the way, Rosenborg was not even present. Hah! Photo by Ken.

April 05 2009 at Nevada Smiths: Same event as above. Three TV screens available, for our match only.

March 2009: King of the Mexican Gulf: Aasmund Michalsen shows the best beach equipment at Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida. Aasmund who studies in Akron, OH went to FL on a well deserved spring  break but of course he never takes a break from Brann.

January 14th 2009: It's time for a new jersey in New Jersey ... The new Giants Stadium is still under construction but the Brann jersey has already been presented there! Iron worker Terry holds up the nicest soccer jersey he has ever seen. "I can't wait to see this great team play here when the stadium is finished" says Terry. Photo by Joe.

September 15 2008: A proud supporter at Yankee Stadium. SK Brann becomes the first and last Scandinavian soccer team to have it's banner waved at the legendary sports venue, "The House That Ruth Built".  Photo by Steven.

June 2008: Brann's 1908-2008 anniversary jersey becomes part of Nevada Smith's Wall of Fame, placed nicely between AC Milan and England. The jersey was signed by all of Brann's players before it was sent to us from Bergen. We are sure this is the only signed Scandinavian soccer jersey that hangs on a wall in America (until somebody proves us wrong).

Make room for the new giants!  Joe makes it clear what team that really matters.
